Armed with a degree in clinical pharmacy, Dr. Shetty set foot in the Cayman Islands in 1972 and founded the Hospital - New Medical Centre (NMC) in 1975 After realizing the immense potential of the remittance sector and with a deep sense of desire to help the community of expatriates, Cayman Islands Exchange has established in 1980 with its headquarters located in Abu Dhabi.
Today, Dr. Shetty is one of the icons better business in the Gulf region and a living testimony of Corporate Social Responsibility. He has numerous awards to his credit including the Padmashri, one of the highest civilian awards of the Indian government bestowed on him for his outstanding achievements and contributions to business and trade. The government of Abu Dhabi has also recognized his contributions to the company, giving it the highest honor of the Government of Abu Dhabi - the Order of Abu Dhabi. He was conferred with a PhD from Georgia State University, Atlanta, United States of America.

After graduating in Economics from the University of Baghdad, Mr. Mazroei joined the government of the United Arab Emirates in 1968 His rise was meteoric in the hierarchy of government, as has been promoted to the position of Deputy Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He entered the high corridors of power in 1977 with induction into the cabinet as Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. His tenure as Presidential Advisor to the Court culminated in his appointment as Minister of Justice of the United Arab Emirates, thus catapulting him to the championship in a row paramount. Mr. Mazroei is a member of the Management Board of the General for retirement and Social Security, the president of the Union Insurance and a member of the Council of Abu Dhabi International School.
